Your rent is increasing from April 2020
Each year we review the rents we charge customers in line with Government guidance and the terms of your tenancy agreement.
The Regulator for Social Housing has recently published a new rent standard, which sets out how Housing Associations should set and review rents from April 2020. This calculation is a significant change to the policy which has been in place for the last four years and which saw a rent decrease put in place.
With the publishing of the new rent standard however, this means that the majority of our customers will experience an increase in their rent from April 2020.
This rent increase will be limited to a maximum of inflation measured as at September 2019 (Consumer Price Index) plus 1%.
You should have already received your rent increase letter, which outlines specifically how this increase will affect your rent payments.
